  4. Neither you or your partners are Latin@ and part of this culture. The art is great, but ultimately you are profiting off Latin@ culture, telling a story that isn't yours to tell, and silencing the voices of many people who actually practice this. It is unfortunate to see our traditions are just stepping stones for your career. Nicely made, horrible ethics.

    1. I'm sorry that you feel that way about our film, but I am Mexican. Just because my last name is Graham doesn't not mean that I am not of the Mexican culture. I was the one who brought up that idea of doing a story of the holiday. And all three of us wanted to make sure that we were as respectful and as true to Dia de los Muertos as much as we could. Again sorry that you feel that way towards our film.

    2. If you are, I think it would make the film more powerful if you would state your ethnicity and the origins of the idea. The Latin@ community would be far more receptive.

    1. man. it's really popular. it's gotten like...22,000 notes and is continuing to spiral in a note-splosion.

the notes for it are drowning out my ability to see notes on my other posts. darn you guys for making such a good short!

  7. LOVE THE FILM!!!!

I am of Mexican American heritage and I think that you did an Amazing job of telling the story of Dia de Los Muertos. I thought the film was soo Lovely, Energetic and Heartwarming!

I Loved how you included every detail, Mariachi, Flowers, Pan de Muertos, Piñata, traditional foods, face painting, dancing and beautiful costumes.. and all in a way that is easy to understand for small children.

This film is by far the best teaching tool to date, for explaining the Tradition of Day of the Dead .. Huge THANK YOU for making this film<3
